Sad to say it didn’t take long but Steve is in surgery. It happened last night, we were hanging out on the couch and I got carried away. I chewed through his head. (yes this is the first time that new Steve has had surgery. Old Steve went through multiple surgeries lost an arm, both ears and eyes.) Tonight mom fixed him. I really wanted to help! But I wasn’t allowed. I had to sit and wait. Here are some pics of the surgery and me. I did try to help hold the stitches once. -Shimano.
Steve!!!
So my favorite toy is my buddy Steve. Steve is a sock monkey that I got a few months ago. But Steve has had a rough life. I get carried away chewing on his head and well his head is now missing. I felt bad. Dad tried multiple surgeries to fix Steve, but it just became too much. So mom bought me a new Steve for my birthday!! I am so excited. Steve got his name from the monkey in the movie “Cloudy with the Chance of Meatballs” great movie.
Here are some photos of me with old Steve and one of the new Steve. Also a pic of Steve from the movie.

Halloween is coming!
So October and fall are almost here. The weather is turning nice. I am watching things fall from trees as I sit on the porch with nice cool breeze. I am so excited that most of the hot days are almost over. This also means that Halloween is around the corner. I am not sure what I am going to wear this year for my first Halloween. I spent some time yesterday trying on outfits. I need to know which make me the cutest. Here are three outfits I tried. Pumpkin, ScareCrow, and a bumblebee.

Photoshoot
So today Dad had a photoshoot. It was for a client of his. Dad rearranged the living room and pulled down the white screen and set up lights and all of that kind of stuff that he does. The client was running a bit late, so dad decided that I could step in and take a few quick shots. He was testing out the lighting and looking making sure his white background was working right. He might let me post some of those photos that he shot of his client later on. Anyways here are a few shots that he got of me. He put me up on a stool so I would not run around. I wasn’t really sure about sitting on a stool. I would stay still for him if he would only ask me nicely. Well I say that, but honestly I get distracted easily. Here are three images from today! I think I might have a new career opportunity! Although, I was a bit nervous.
His website is bdandrews.com. Not sure If I will make the website, but it was fun.

Athens, Caleb, Rain, and Twilight
So this past weekend wore me out. I decided to go to Athens with my parents. I would have stayed home but they still think I am too young to be left alone. However I do find it unfair that Sasha and Alfie get to stay home. Cats… Lucky, they don’t live in a cage, they get to climb to the roof, and they sleep in the bed with parents when they want. I think they mock me at night when I am in my crate. Anyways, My mom, Dad, and I went to Athens. I love riding in the car with them. As you can see my favorite spot is on the center console. I typically face backwards so I can see out the back window. Dad is on the left, and mom is driving. I think I was looking for a snack down below.
Anyways when we got to Athens I had a BIG surprise. Caleb was there! He is my mom’s sister’s dog. Lots of fun to play with. I think we both wore each other out. I ran around so much I got dizzy and threw up… Hey I am a puppy. One of the nice things about going to Athens is since the cats are not around I get to sleep with my parents in their bed. It was very nice. I slept on Dads leg one night.
The next day parents went for a bike ride while I slept in and then played with Caleb. When they came home they got me ready to go to Athens Twilight. This is a big Bike race in Athens that mom and dad both love. All day long it had been raining, so I was a bit worried that it was going to rain on us at the race. I was right, as always. When we first got there we walked around and met a few people. I met Nathan for the first time and Nick. I thought Nick and I were going to go hang out with the parents around but he was more interested in watching the race than taking me for a walk. When we were walking around people came up to say hi. It was kinda funny, one guy showed me his photos of his pugs, and there were like 4 more people that said they had a pug too… Not sure why they didn’t bring them. I have good parents. While my parents were hanging out and eating funnel cake, which I tried to get some, I just enjoyed the moment, sniffing things and letting the kids pet me. It was fun…until…. Then the rain came. Right as the Women’s race was about to start it started to pour!!! I had my jacket, but it was no match for the soggy drenching I was about to receive. Dad left mom and me in the VIP section while he walked across the track to the Start to take photos (see his photos). This was the start of the women’s race.
The race was very cool, just wish it wasn’t raining. I also didn’t get as much sleep as I should have. You can actually see me in this photo, I am standing to the far left with my mom, it was really dark, and yes wet. Can’t believe these people ride bikes in this stuff.
After a while standing in the rain got old, I tried to crawl up Moms leg and hide from the rain. She finally got the hint and we walked over to meet dad one last time before we left. I really enjoyed Athens, and can’t wait to go back, just no more rain please.

Vacation
I am going on spring break. Away from the parents! I am very excited but also a bit sad. I think my parents are going to miss me way too much, who can blame them. They are heading to Colorado (that place they really like). My mom’s family is actually meeting them at the airport and they all are going. So I am missing out on playing with my favorite cousins. Mom will be skiing all week and Dad will be complaining about how his hamstring is hurt and he cant ski, and spend most of his time on his computer looking at the iPad. Hopefully he will be able to ski the last half of the trip, because honestly I don’t want to hear him complain about not being able to ski when they get back. So I was wanting to have a BIG DAWGS party at the rents’ house, but instead they are letting me go spend the week with some friends. Bailey and Tikka, Both GIRLS!!! Don’t worry dad and mom put an end to that thought a few weeks ago, snip snip still haunts me. They are not PUGS like me, jack russells.
Anyways, I will be over at the girls house hanging out all week long. It will be lots of fun. Their Dad, works with both my mom and dad. So if you dont see any posts or updates, its probably because I am having too much fun. I know I will miss my parents, and they will whine about missing me, but I will see them soon, I know they are coming back.

Photos of me.
So I heard the other day that I needed to post more photos. Well honestly life’s been a bit busy for my parents’. Mom doesn’t like working on the computer, unless its looking at bikes at trekbikes.com. Dad, well he has had soccer and lots of other things going on. They do still spend time with me, but sadly I am spending a bit more time in my crate than I want. I don’t mind too much, I can just sleep. In fact when the ‘rents open the door to my room, I typically don’t come out for a few minutes to get a couple more zz’z. Anyways, Since I need to post a few photos here are some from the past week. Most are from Saturday, Dad and I went up the mountain again. Him and I try to go every weekend, and mom tries to take me up twice a week. 3 times is a lot for my short legs, but keeps me healthy. I am training for a mile run. So it was a bit warmer this past Saturday but I still had a good time. I took my time and tried to lay down in the sun any chance I could.
- I love riding in the back of Dads jeep, so much stuff to sniff and play with.
- Chewing on grass is a great way to floss.
- I love to sit in the middle of the road, Dad hates it. He keeps saying I will be run over by a big bus, I dont see a bus.
- Sitting next to dad enjoying the day, taking a break.
- Coming down the road from the top, looking out over Smyrna and Atlanta.
- I am attacking dads leg. I am crazy dog!

Kennesaw Mountain
This past Sunday was a great day to hike the mt. Nice and cool, but by the time we got up I was hot. At the top Dad found some left over snow for me to eat. It was awesome. Snow cone on the rocks. Not yellow snow of course, that’s just gross. There were so many people and dogs out today. Lots of sniffing. I love days like this. This has become a regular thing. Me and one or both parents hiking the mountain. I love going up. Lots of things to see and sniff. Coming down we always take the road. I try to be adventurous and climb down the sides of the mountain. But again the rents’ try and stop me. By the time we get home I am ready for a nap. It’s such a great life I live. Now if only the cats would start playing with me.

I do not like the cone of shame.
For those who don’t know. This past Wednesday I went under the knife to have my ball removed and a hernia fixed. My dad had talked all week about how I was losing my manhood, not funny dad. My dad dropped me off Wednesday morning, I thought we were going to get more treats and toys at PetSmart, I was wrong. I didn’t want to go back and started to struggle. The mean woman picked me up and took me back to a cold place… I pray you do not have to go through what I did that day. The surgery went well… I guess. I really didn’t enjoy it much myself. But they did find my other ball!!! That’s a relief. I have two incisions where they cut me up, and I am not allowed to lick them. My Ego is hurt, my body is hurt, and I cannot lick my wounds. That night Dad and his sister Vinita came and picked me up. I had to wear this ridiculous cone of shame.
Dad just made fun of me. He started to quote Dug from UP. Great movie. Dug had to wear the cone of shame too.
If you notice Dug’s cone of shame is no where near the ridiculous size that mine is. I think they just decide to find the biggest cone out there and see if it would fit a little pug like me.
SO since this thing is SO Big, I cannot fit in my crate (home) at night. How silly is that. So my parents had to relocate me to the bathroom. They did make me a nice pad. I have my blanket, bed, Monster, another blanket, the pad from my crate, and oh yeah that stupid cone.
So this is where I am staying at night and during the day while my parents are away… Party in the Bathroom. Just kidding, I am not in the partying mood. It is very uncomfortable to sleep with this thing and walking is hard because it gets in the way of everything.
My parents do take the cone off when ever they are home and they can watch me. I am not allowed to lick my wound as I said before. Right now I am relaxing on the couch, with out the cone. Since dad is sitting here to watch me. I even went to a soccer game last night and Dad let me take to cone off. How embarrassing that was going to be. Could you imagine having to walk around a soccer game with that thing on. OH I loath the Cone.
